A Franciscan Father designed this prayer book for the members of the Third Order secular of St. Francis of Assisi; it contains information on the foundation of the Third Order, rules of the Third Order, privileges, prayers, litanies, Franciscan Rosary, elections, blessings, indulgences for the dying and much more. Impr 1908. Included at the end is a separate book, “Confraternity of the Agonizing Heart of Jesus and the Compassionate Heart of Mary for the Salvation of the Dying.” The object of this little book is to assist daily those persons who will die the same day or the following night, in order that they may be saved. Our Lord says, “Do you hate the devil, our most bitter enemy? If so, strive to wrest from him those souls that he is about to drag with him into the abyss of hell.”
