Devotion To The Miraculous Infant Jesus of Prague - Containing a History of its Origin and Propagation With a Novena, a Litany, and Other Prayers.

In 1894 The first English account of the devotion appeared in a little book entitled "The Infant Jesus of Prague and Its Veneration", which set forth its history and cited some of the miracles that had taken place in connection with it. This book had a large sale, and was the means of spreading the devotion throughout the land. Today there is not a place where the Infant Jesus of Prague is not known and venerated, and His statues are pictures are found in many churches and convents, while medals and rosaries innumerable have been distributed among the faithful. The miracles performed and the favors granted by the Divine Infant to His clients in other land s have been repeated in this country, and a number of them will be found mentioned in these pages. May this book further increase devotion to the miraculous Infant Jesus of Prague, and encourage the faithful to implore His aid with confidence in all their trails and difficulties.

I bought this book some months or years ago. It was added to others in my book case. I had just finished reading the Dolorous Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ that I read during lent. As I put it away I was looking for something else to read and this book somehow found my hand.

This is an extraordinary book; powerful and enlightening. Although I have for many years been a great admirer of Baby Jesus and the Statue of the Infant Jesus of Prague I had no idea what I was about to read. I feel it was a gift that was time for me to experience. Don't pass on this book!
